INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING

Molding, Plating, Welding, Processing and Testing
Industrial companies use Sifam Tinsley meters, sensors, and test equipment to monitor, control and support their operations. Large HVAC systems often use Smart look series & Contender series analog meters to display system voltages and currents while modern digital touch screen operated multifunction meters, Alpha 40A, Alpha 50A, Alpha 70A are preferred to monitor electrical power and energy consumption. Analog and digital panel meters are also used in backup/standby power systems.

Smart touch screen operated power quality analyzer ALPHA PQA also has the ability to measure dip, swell, sag and interruption of the critical process parameters.

Electroplating and welding operations both require high current levels. Sifam Tinsley meters in combination with DC shunts or AC current transformers, CT Omega Series and Shunt Kappa Series are popular in these applications.

Weighing, counting, sorting and filling operations benefit from the smart capabilities built into Sifam Tinsley digital panel meters (Beta Series) and Bargraph meters (NA5, NA6). Sifam Tinsley smart meters and controllers are also useful in processes, such as plastic molding, that require precise temperature control, PID controllers (RE72, RE57) has the smart features of auto tuning, auto and manual control CJC (cold junction compensation).

Boiler control is another application where Sifam Tinsley digital Bargraph meters are a convenient readout and control solution. Sifam Tinsley’s extensive line of sensors and signal conditioners measure temperature, pressure, flow, speed, level, position, humidity, vibration and other process variables. KD7 is a paperless recorder use to measure flow, pressure and humidity. These can be used with a meter or fed directly into a SCADA system.
